Head Check

Please continue to monitor your child's hair for lice. Look through their hair at least twice a week. We have had another occurence in fourth grade, and we just want to make sure to catch any early.

Novel Study Books

In the second nine weeks, we will begin using the three novels that are on the Fourth Grade Supply list. Please be sure to purchase/obtain a copy for your child. The books are: Night Journeys by Avi, Explorers of North America by Christine Taylor-Butler, and Across the Lines by Carolyn Reeder (all are available on Amazon.com) Look for used copies.


Specifically, your child needs

Board Game Project (Think Show) Tips and Reminders

Some tips and reminders:

•  Tip: (Optional) Your child can use an old board game and cover or paint over it .(Then you already have the box, game, etc.)
• Your child will bring home their math books for guidance in making the problems. (If it does not make it in their bookbag, I will be doing the morning intersession, let me know, and I can put it in the office for you to grab.)
• The theme must be one of these things: (It cannot be a 'Genre Bingo' Book, which is a book your child read independently nor can it be a Read Aloud book (a book I read completely to them.)

Youth Chinese Test Deadline

The deadline for students applying for the Youth Chinese Test (YCT) is this Friday, October 8. Flyers were sent home last week. There are many students in the 3rd, 4th, and 5th at Campus School that are fully prepared to take the YCT I and/or YCT II test(s). Scholarships are available for the $10 testing fee, if needed. We can also assist students with sample tests and training/tutoring sessions if needed.

Awards Day

Awards day is next week on Thursday at 8:30. The parent coffee is 7:30-8:15. Dr. Jeff Warren, our school's representative on the Board of Education, will be visiting.
