Our The African American Citizens Who Made a Difference presentations will be next WEDNESDAY, MARCH 5th @ 1:30 in
our room. Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, godparents, and any other loved ones are invited!
The students have been making the presentation
in class. They have the OPTION to dress as their person for any of the presentation
choices. The costume part will have to be done at home, if they choose to.
They may bring the costume to school on Tuesday or Wednesday, but they
will have to change into before our presentations. They have to wear
uniform clothes the rest of the day.

Our Family Gathering is Friday, March 28. Please be sure to choose a word with your
child. Once your child's word is chosen, please sign up on the wiki (or email me):

Description:
Each child learns a new word and depicts themselves as that word. It is a learning experience for themselves, plus any of their friends in the audience that remembers what they dressed as. In order to save valuable instructional time, I am asking the families to chose a word with your child (that they do not already know) and create a depiction (costume) of that word. In addition, your child must be able to say the word and give a short definition of it. It is usually easiest to choose an adjective, but feel free to choose anything.
